Testimonials:
We love the spray foam you did for our home. Added 900 square ft, you put 6" foam in our roof 3 years ago over the upstairs addition. Our energy bills didn't go up a penny- just shows how much heat we were losing in the winter and letting in the attic in the summer. Great investment!
- Ernie, Jackson TNI have seen the Spray Foam system before, but only in the home improvement shows on TV. I was introduced to Apex by my contractor, and was convinced to try it. Couldn't be happier! Great return on investment.
- Mike, Nashville TNI was in my house built in 1948 for 3 winters, each year I would add more fiberglass insulation to the floors in my crawl space. My home was never warm until I tried spray foam. Not only is the house warmer, but it has saved me money on the energy bill.
- Michael, Nashville TNApex Building Company provided whole house residential spray foam insulation for my new home. They did an excellent professional job. I would recommend them for any insulation job of any size!
- George, Jackson TNI hired this company to spray insulation into my newly built steel construction home. They came in and did a very professional job enclosing the entire shell with open cell foam, sealing every conceivable leak. I have been very please with the results and ascribe my low utility bills to it!
- Pete, Memphis TNApex was very professional and knew about the product they were selling. I talked to several spray foam contractors and none of them were as knowledgeable as Michael at Apex. They cleaned up well and made sure things were done to suit me. I Highly Recommend them for anything spray foam or insulation!

Understanding R-Value For Insulation
DON'T BE FOOLED BY HIGH INSULATION R-VALUES!
R-value only measures how well insulation resists heat movement through the insulation material (called conductive heat flow). It doesn't take into account how well the material stops heat movement from convection, carried in the air. Air leakage can cause up to half of your home's energy loss. Gord Cooke of Icynene® explains R-value in this video.
CREATE AN AIR SEAL TO REDUCE ENERGY COSTS:
R-value doesn't measure air flow through a material, so without air sealing your home could lose a lot of heated or cooled air. Energy Star and the Energy Code now requires minimal air leakage for approval. Icynene® spray foam insulation is an excellent example of a premium insulation that seals your property while providing an effective R-value. Not only with providing a true air barrier save energy, but it will reduce moisture movement and reduce humidity to make a more comfortable environment.
THICKER INSULATION AND HIGHER R-VALUE DOES NOT ALWAYS BENEFIT!
Did you know 93% of conductive heat flow is already stopped by R-12 insulation? Upgrading from R-12 to R-40 reduces conductive heat flow by only another 5%. Spray foam insulation can provide a high R-value for you home plus it offers air sealing to minimize your heating and cooling bills. If you use very high R-value fiberglass or very high R-value cellulose, you may still get high heating and cooling costs because the additional R-value is a minimal effect on conductive heat flow. Check out this video for illustration. Remember, fibrous insulations' R-value doesn't eliminate air movement.
Figures for amount of heat flow reduced are based on Fourier's Law of Thermodynamics
*Costs provided are estimates only for conventional fibrous insulation. Insulation and energy costs will vary by region, insulation type, home type, and heating/cooling equipment.
**Based on heating/cooling costs of $750 USD/year
R-VALUES CAN BE REDUCED FOR YOUR INSTALLATION:
R-values are also based on laboratory conditions, which are difficult to achieve with many traditional insulation types such as fiberglass and cellulose.
Open Cell Spray foam insulation is spray-applied as a liquid quickly expanding up to 120 times (30x for closed cell) to fill any gaps. It's installed by trained, certified APEX technicians, to make sure it's right every time. Spray Foam contours to the building envelope to complete an air seal that fiberglass and cellulose can't achieve and can't be tested by R-value factory testing. This YouTube video proves how R-value alone isn't effective to properly protect your home or business.
