Every year, more than one billion square feet of new EPDM roofing is installed in the United States. When these roofs need to be replaced, roof tear-offs, totaling hundreds of millions of square feet, frequently go into rapidly filling landfills. That translates to 33,000 40-yard dumpsters or over 120,000 full-sized cars annually.
To help offset the environmental impact that building construction has on energy use, raw material consumption and waste, APEX will recycle your roof tear-off at no additional charge to the owner. We do this to help our country stay clean and green by keeping this material out of America’s rapidly filling landfills.
The owner pays for the roof tear-off, but APEX will recover the material and transport it to a West Development Group (WDG) facility where the EPDM is converted into powder, classified, and packaged for a variety of new roofing system applications. This is a true reusable and recycled roof-to-roof process.
